Iranian ‘Major’ is to premiere at the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Iranian feature film ‘Major’ has been set to get its premiere at the Fajr Film Festival (FFF) in Iran.

Directed by Ehsan Abdipour, the movie, that has ifilm star Hamid Farrokhnejad among its cast members, will take part at the 39th edition of the FFF.

The film, which has recently wrapped up production and technical stages, had a private screening at the Farhang Cinema in Tehran.

A brief plot of ‘Major’, being shot in Bushehr city in south of Iran, has been unveiled to the media.

According to the plot, the film is about some illegal activities in a harbor city in Iran, which gets disturbed as a police dog comes into the story. The dog knows no negotiation and does not deal with anyone.

Besides Farrokhnejad, some local actors, including Arash Maleki, Iraj Saghiri, Asghar Javadi, Hamid Baghaki, and Abbas Kamran form the cast list of the flick.

The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies in Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.
